It all started over a drink, of course.

Three friends, united by a shared passion for food and drink, found themselves talking about the lack of great dining spots in Wakefield. That simple conversation planted the seed for what would become an incredible journey.

Drawing on our many years of experience in the food and service industries, we set out to create a dining destination shaped by our values: fantastic food and exceptional service, all delivered in a relaxed, welcoming setting.

And so, CAFE VIE The Bistro was born.

We are a contemporary bistro inspired by the vibrant, easy-going café culture of France, blending classic French techniques with global culinary influences. Our approach to sourcing is simple: keep it local whenever we can.
